iPod does not sit on stand because you have to plug in to bottom of iPod. Would not recommend to anyone. You will find out how good Amazon's return policy is.
I thought we just got a defective product so I had Amazon exchange them for a new pair. I bought these for my daughter because of the great reviews they received. These sound just as bad out of the box as the original set. We were very disappointed with the sound quality. If we turn the volume up higher than 1/4 way up the lever there is a terrible buzzing sound. I am going to return them. I do not have experience with any other portable MP3 Player speakers so maybe these got great reviews because the others are all worse.
I LIKE THAT IT'S COMPACT AND THE SPEACKERS HAVE GOOD QUAILTY.IT COMES WITH IT'S OWN ADAPTER. THAT'S A PLUS.
I use mine for work and I'll use it for camping. These speakers are small, compact and portable. It runs on AA batteries or with the included AC adapter. I connected a 2 GB mp3 to it and was immediately impressed by the quality and volume of the sound. If you are looking for simple porability and good design at an affordable price, this is the one you want. When it is folded up the speakers are protected behind a plastic cover which doubles as a base. I would highly recommend this product.
I use this as a docking station for my Archos device and have it by my home gym. Pretty easy to use. I would rate these as pretty decent sound quality. You can buy better sounding speakers but of course you will pay more. The transformer and power cable are large and heavier but in my case I don't care as I don't travel with these. There is a compartment for four AA batteries but I have not used it yet.
